Visa and Iqama fees update 2025,

The Ministry of Interior’s Absher Business platform also introduced new fees for residency and visa-related services provided to establishments, effective January 1, 2025. These charges apply to specific services and are separate from the standard costs.

The updated fees are below:

Extending an exit and reentry visa: SAR 103.50
Iqama renewal: SAR 51.75
Issuing a new Iqama: SAR 51.75
Final exit visa: SAR 70
Requesting an employee report: SAR 28.75
Updating passport information (Naqal Maloomat): SAR 69

The Absher Individuals platform launched a new service that enables host individuals to submit reports about the cases of absconding of those who arrived in the Kingdom on a visitor visa.

The Absher platform stipulated five conditions to submit such a report. According to the conditions, the absentee’s visa must be a visit visa classified as a personal or family visa, and the report shall be submitted after 7 days from the date of the expiry of the visit visa.

It is not possible to submit the report 14 days after the expiry of the visa, and that the status of the visit visa must be an expired one. The conditions also include that the report is only once for each visitor, and there is no possibility to cancel the report after it's submission.

Absher Business revealed, that the fees provided are in exchange for services that are considered value-added services, and are considered fees for implementing the service through Absher Business, and are not part of the annual package that the employer subscribes

Now expats can convert a family visit visa to iqama in Saudi Arabia

In a tweet Jawazat announced that expats can convert a family visit visa to permanent family visa in Saudi Arabia for their children by following below requirements are met.

Both parents are saudi arabia resident and have an Iqama.
Children are under 18 years old.

Requirements for convert visit visa into permanent visa

Jawazat Appointment.
Filled visa application form to convert family visit visa to Iqama.
Visa conversion fees of SR 2,000.
Medical Insurance for children with your insurance company.
Children’s Birth Certificate attested by the Saudi Embassy + MOFA KSA.
Children’s Vaccination Cards.
Children’s Original Passports.
Passport size photo of the child.
Iqama copies of parents.
Passport copies of parents.
Marriage certificate attested by the Saudi Embassy + MOFA KSA.
Letter from the Employer of the parents requesting Jawazat to convert the visit visa into Iqama duly attested by the Chamber of Commerce.

Step to follow for Convert family visit visa to Iqama
Step 1: Jawazat Appointment

You need to get a Jawazat appointment from Absher with the option “Resident Services” to enter the passport office.
Step 2: Visit Jawazat Office.
Once you have all the required documents, go to the Jawazat office in your city.
Submit all your documents, the Jawazat officer will verify the documents and request the cancellation of the Family Visit Visa on your child’s passport.
Step 3: Second Visit Jawazat.
After one week of submitting the passports, visit the Jawazat again to check if your request has been accepted. If its accept the officer will advice you to pay dependent levy fee.
Step 4: Pay the dependent fee.
If the request is accepted, pay the dependent fee up to your iqama expiry date for all your children.
Step 5: Convert Family Visit Visa
Go back to the jawajat with payment proof, the Jawazat officer will convert the family visit visa to Iqama or a permanent family visa.
Step 6: Print the Iqama ID.
Now take this paper to the window where iqama is printed, the officer will immediately print the iqama card.

General Corporation of King Fahd Causeway has announced the procedures for those expatriates living in Saudi Arabia and wants to travel from Saudi to Bahrain.

The King Fahd Causeway Foundation's official annowance in their Twitter account said those Saudi expatriates interested in traveling from Saudi Arabia to Bahrain they must carry valid exit re-entry visa, valid passport and valid Iqama.

Saudi authorities have said that an expatriate must hold a passport valid for at least 90 days to obtain an exit/re-entry visa.

Jawajat said that for expatriates to be issued exit and re-entry visas, passports must have a validity of at least 90 days, and exit and re-entry visas cannot be issued if the validity is less than 90 days, The Jawazat also said that the duration of exit-reentry visa shall be valid for three months from the issuance date,

The Saudi General Directorate of Passports said that if the exit and re-entry visa is defined in One Month, Two Month, Three Month or four months, then it will be valid for three months for traveler starting from the date of issuance of Visa,

Exit and re-entry visa fees.

Jawajat individual exit and re-entry visa issuance fees set 200 Saudi Riyals for a maximum period of two months, with an additional 100 Saudi Riyals for each additional month within the validity period of Iqama.

Multiple exit and re-entry visa fee

In addition, the fee for issuing a multiple exit and re-entry visa fee is 500 Saudi Riyals which allows multiple trips for a maximum of three months, The conditions is iqama must valid, an additional fee of 200 Saudi Riyals for each separate month.

Expatriates have been banned from advertisements on social media.

Expatriates and visitors have been banned from advertisements on social media without getting license and it is a punishable crime, Those who do not obey the law may go to five-year prison and fines of up to Five Million Saudi Riyal.

Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Audiovisual Media announced the ban and said it had noticed violations by numerous expatriates and visitors alike on the social media platform. The commission said that after checking their data showed that they were doing e-advertising without obtaining commercial registration and legal license and we also found that they were not operating under any commercial organization or foreign investment license.

As-per the rules commercial establishments cannot deal with non-Saudi advertisers to events for marketing products, services and goods.

According to the Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Audiovisual Media only those people will allowed for advertising who is working under a commercial entity, and got a license and legal documents authorizing them to practice commercial advertising on social media platforms.

This is in accordance with the Saudi Arabian laws on audiovisual media, the Electronic Commerce Law, and the relevant laws and regulations, including the Labor Law by Royal Decree No. Article 33 of M/51, dated Shaban 23, 1426, specifies that a non-Saudi may not practice work or engage in it without obtaining a license.

Expatriate violators of regulations, issued by Royal Decree No. (M/24) dated 12/5/1434, prohibit the employee from working for his own account, and the Law for Combating Commercial Cover-Up, issued by Royal Decree No. (M/40) dated 1/1/1442, treats non-Saudis who practice an economic activity for their own account as a criminal offense punishable by imprisonment and fines of up to SR5 million.

In the Middle East, hottest months are from June to September. Daily temperatures of 43°c to 50°c are a common temparature in day and nights do not bring much relief as well as the breeze which only blows hot air as though you are facing a hot interior in your oven. So since workers need to deal with this climate condition, there are things that they can do to mitigate the struggle and survive in gulf country.

The Saudi Arabian Jawazat said if an expatriate have wife from different religion then the wife must get an independent Iqama for her self.

Jawazat said that if an expatriate is the head of his family and he wish to add his wife and his minor children into his iqama, but his wife from different relegions in that case his wife required to obtain an independent iqama, Please note that to obtain a independent Iqama they must pay legally prescribed fee of Five Hundred Saudi Riyal.

A separate photo (4 x 6 "size) of each family member and original iqama of those whom you want to add to your iqama must bring to embassy.

03. If you married in Saudi Arabia

The Jawazat noted that If an expatriates has married an in Saudi Arabia, that case first thing to do transfer her sponsorship (kafala) to to her husband name, after complete those procedure bringing a copy of the marriage contract and paying the fees prescribed by law to add her name to her husband's Iqama.

04. Children who were born in Saudi Arabia

If the head of an expatriate family wants to add minor children who born in Saudi Arabia to his iqama, the head of the family must bring the original birth certificate and a photocopy of those children to the embassy.

Details of New rules for Huroob 2022: First thing we need to know is When Qafeel can set Horoob on your Iqama

Most important thing is Kafeel can only set Huroob on valid Iqama. if your iqama is expire Qafeel can't set haroob.

In order to set Huroob, the company or Kafeel always have to write a official letter to proper authorities. and you have right to file a case against your Kafeel if he set Huroob on an expired Iqama. The time period for filing a case is 15 days.

Reasons of the Huroob.

Huroob is set by Kafeel or company for certain reasons. Once a case is filed all the possible reasons are brought to light. For example,

* If expatriates worker is continusly absent on duty.

* Leaving Kafeel without any proper notice.

If Kafeel want to cancel Huroob within 15 days after set the huroob then Kafeel can cancel Huroob online. But if Kafeel didn't cancel within fifteen days then Kafeel needs to visit Jawazat personally to cancel Huroob.

According to new rules for Huroob 2022, upon resuming work for the same company that set Huroob, another Huroob cannot be set for 2 years.

The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) in has issued a circular revealing the possibility of canceling the reports of Absent from work (Huroob) registered on expat workers without the need for approval from employer who registered it.

the Undersecretary for Labor Affairs, Abdul Majeed Al-Rashudi, has issued a circular, referring a number of conditions regulating the cancellation of the Huroob (Absent from Work) report on expat’s iqama, one of which must be met in the facility where the worker is registered.

It has been clarified that Hurub may cancel the without permission of the sponsor or company subject to the following conditions.

* If the company is in red status and does not commit to wage protection system at 80% of its total workforce.

* If the company is in red status of Nitaqat and has not committed to documenting its employment contracts at a rate of not less than 75% of its total employment.

* If the status of the company is under procedure and the employer has not opened another file for it within a period of not more than 30 days from the date of placing the file.

* The circular included a number of conditions that must be met by the company wishing to transfer worker’s services

* If the facility or company is not existing or not in place.

* The existence of an electronically certified letter in which the employer who wishes to transfer the worker’s services to him is obligated to bear all the fees incurred by the worker.

File a case

If above mentioned conditions anot applicable for you and you file a case against your Sponsor/Company of Kafeel, on that condations You and Kafeel will have to visit Maktab Amal office and asked to negotiate with each other. If negotiation is successful it is Kafeel’s responsibility to make a new Iqama and arrange a duplicate Kafala within 15 days. Kafeel cannot interrupt the progress. Before you file a case ensure that you have evidence. Spoken words will be of no use. Try to provide hard evidence that proves Huroob was set mistakenly. This way case decision will be in your favor.

How to File Case

As-per the new rules for Huroob 2022 allow Expatriates workers to file a case in two ways.

* Online.

* Maktab Amal office Which is available outside Jawajat office.

Starting July 15 to Middle of September 2022, Workers no need to work in the heat from 12:00pm to 03:00pm.

According to the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Labor the workers will not need to work in the heat from July 15, 2022 to Middle of September 2022, The ministry take this precusion to protect the safety and health of workers.

During this three-month all the private sector companies and establishments is Forbidden to forsing worker to working under the sun between 12:00pm to 03:00pm.

If any firm, private sector, companies, and establishments force worker to working in heat they will have to pay the fine of SR 3,000 to SR 10,000.

The amount of the fine will be multiplied with the number of workers involved in the violation. The penalties also include closing down the company for a period of 30 days or even it may shutting down permanently, or imposing both that is fine and closure the company.

However, there will be exemptions for outdoor work bans in some regions of the Kingdom in view of the difference in weather that decrease temperatures in those areas.

The work ban will not be applicable for those employees working at petroleum, gas and emergency maintenance companies, which still need to take measures to protect their workers from the heat.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced that booster shot of COVID-19 vaccine will be mandatory for all Citizen and Expatriates.

An official source of Saudi Arabian Ministry of Interior has confirmed that starting February 1, 2022 all citizens and Expatriates of Saudi Arabia must take the booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine to secure their "immune" status on Tawakkalna app.

Being a fully vaccinated status on the app will allow people to take part in any economic, commercial, cultural, sports or tourist activity, attend any cultural, scientific, social or recreational event, enter any governmental or private establishment and travel on planes and public transport.

The Saudi Arabian King’s directive also include extending the visit visa validity issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for visitors those who are Currently outside the Kingdom and those who are from countries still facing travel ban as a result of the outbreak of coronavirus. The period of extension will be until January 31, 2022.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's banks have started updating their government payments system for the issuance and renewal of residency permits (iqama), from one year to three month, which are linked to work permits.

Expatriates can make quarterly payment of the fee for their dependents and companions when they renew their iqama on quarterly basis. The monthly fee for dependents and companions is amounted to SAR 400 each.

According to recent amendments to the government payment system, banks will accept the payment of the work permit fee for a minimum period of three months, or its multiples of six months and nine months, or even you can pay full year as before.

During an interview with TV news channel The Saudi Arabian Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has no plans to reduce the VAT (Value Added Tax) of 15% in the near future, He said The decision on VAT will be reviewed after several years and only when the public finances improve.

The Finance Minister also said the goal of the increased rate of Value Added Tax was to deal with the economic effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, He Said after several years or may be within 5 years it will be reexamined but there will be no VAT Reduce anytime soon.

May 2020 Saudi Arabia raised VAT from 5% to 15% as part of strict measures in order to support its pandemic hit economy, He stated that, We want to continue working efficiently and we may raise public spending but any increase in spending items in the future including the salaries of government employees will be to cover inflation.

The finance minister has urged the Kingdom to maintain reasonable spending despite the increase in revenue. He described the G20's approval as "excellent" for imposing taxes on multinational companies. As such it will benefit the entire economy and slow down the race to reduce taxes, which will lead to a widening deficit. It will also contribute to attracting MNCs to Saudi Arabia because all countries will have the same tax, which will be greater justice.

Third quarter of this year (2021) Saudi budget recorded the first quarterly surplus since early 2019 which is estimated at 6.7 billion Riyal. The surplus revenue was the result of a 60% Income increase on an annual basis along with a limited decline in public spending.

If the request is not initiated in 24 days, the entire process will be canceled and the system will show the message, Expired because of not completing the request by the new employer.

Once the employee transfer request is accepted by the current employer in the Qiwa portal, The new Employer must Pay the fee to transfer Iqama sponsorship within 12 days of acceptance of the request to complete the process in Jawazat.

Istiska prayers are performed about 20 minutes after sunrise - at about the same time as the Eid prayers. However, if there is any obstacle, the prayer can be offered at any time during the Nawafil (optional prayer).

HOW TO PERFORM ISTISKA PRAYER

After starting the first takbeer [Allahu Akbar, Means Allah the Great] in the first rak'ah, the Imam then repeats it seven times. In the second rak'ah, takbeer is said five times, In each takbeer, the Imam raises his hand and praises Allah. He also prayed for the Prophet in the midst of every takbeer, After the prayer, the Imam gives a sermon in which he prays to God for forgiveness and recites verses from the Qur'an.

To end the khutbah of the rain prayer ceremony, the Imam faces the Kabbalah (towards the Holy Kaaba), turns his sheet inwards, and places it on the right, on the left, and vice versa.

As-per the provision in the Labor Act that an expatriate worker could transfer his services to another employer only after spending minimum 12 months with the current employer from the date of Enter to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

As a result, an amendment to the Labor Law has been approved by the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, now

An expatriate worker can now transfer his or her services to another employer without having to wait at least a year after arriving in Saudi Arabia if certain conditions are met.

The amended regulations state that the transfer requires the consent of the current employer, which should not violate the conditions set out in the Nitakat Saudiization program for the private sector.

The new regulation is part of three amendments approved by the Minister Engineer. Ahmed Al-Razi in the legal article of the Executive Regulation of Labor Law.

Under the new amendment, an expatriate worker can transfer his or her services to another employer without specifying a time limit between the current employer's approval and the provisions of the Nitakat Incentive Program for the company for job Saudiization.

The second amendment was made in paragraph 14 of item 2 of paragraph 7 that "Migrant workers have the right to transfer their services to another employer after the expiration of the registered work contract without the consent of the current employer.

The third amendment added paragraph no. Items 2 to 21 of Article 14, which read as follows: “Regarding the provisions of Section 77 of the Labor Act, an expatriate worker may transfer his services to another employer without the approval of the current employer while fulfilling the conditions.
